The Hollywood Animation Archive has been posting scans of 1930’s comic illustrator Zim’s guide to cartoons recently. Though old, Zim's Cartoons & Caricatures has plenty of tips for drawing expressions, as well as some comically outdated humour and social references.

New comic series American Vampire has been written by King and short-story supremo Scott Snyder, and illustrated beautifully by Rafael Albuquerque. It plots the bloodlust of a new breed of vamps, living in the Wild West and who revel in the sun. Sounds hot.
